How Do You Calculate the Nutrition Info of Your Recipes?
The nutrition information of our recipes is calculated based the USDA Food Composition Database (SR28).
- The nutrition information displayed on a recipe is always per serving
- The percent daily values are based on a 2,000 calorie diet
- Calorie totals are calculated by adding up the calories of the individual foods in a recipe, not by 4-4-9 formula
- Calories of individuals foods are provided by the USDA which uses Atwater Factors
Disclaimer: We do our best to make sure the nutrition information we provide is as accurate as possible, but these figures should still be considered estimates. Varying factors such as product types and the way ingredients are processed will change the nutrition information in any given recipe.
